So my wife's flight from CLT to EWR was cancelled today. When we called last night to get her to back to BUF they told her the earliest flight was on the 24th.
I hoped online and checked and found 2 flights listed on their sight but operated by US airways. I had to tell the agent which flights I was looking at to get them to acknowledge there was space on the flight.
My question is why didn't United just offer this flight from get go to get her home on the day she was suppose to get in. Even though its 12 hrs later.
They also offered no meals stipend. They did offer a $75 discount voucher good for 1 yr. They couldn't even manage to refund the check baggage fee.
