Hi,
I booked flights for my family ( 3 of us) 11 months ago so we could get transpac upgrades.
One of the days involves flying LAS-SLC . we initially had a good connection which changed and changed with schedule changes - each time upgrades lost .
I understand that is one of the risks of booking that far out .
We are currently booked to take 8 hours to get the whole distance via SFO.
I have been keeping an eye on alternate options but when they come up , they do not have w class fares available.
Two of us are 1K and one 1P going for our annual ski trip.
Have any of you had any experience of persuading the 1K line to let you swap onto flights with better connections a week ahead of the flights when there were seats even upgrade seats available but none in the original booking fare class?
I'm going to give booking a try but would be interested in OP's experience.
