This is some what of a complex question...
My United MileagePlus Explorer Card is up for renewal at $85, and the bill is due on 2/6.
My wife also applied and received the same card a couple months ago.
We only typically need one card in the family as we are usually on the same reservation, and going forward we will use hers for card member benefits.
So here is the question.
We are traveling using miles, leaving Feb 2 and returning Feb 10. My reservation using points from my onepass account includes myself and daughter number one. Her reservation using points from her onepass account herself and daughter number two.
Currently, both reservations indicate that the traveler and the daughter get free bags. $200 savings.
If I cancel my card on 2/3, after we fly the outbound, will I lose the free bags for return trip?
As a backup, I do have a card from here account for myself and daughter one, so we can show the card at the counter if they do try to charge us.
Thanks!
