Situation:
Planning a trip from ORD-DXB in Feb. My planned routing takes me somewhere in Europe to make a connection. In exploring several hubs I noticed that there are 2 locations, BRU and LIS, that offer EK flights to DXB via codeshares on 2 *Alliance partners, Brussels Airlines and TAP.
I called United yesterday to see if I could get on those flights. The rep could not locate the TP6731 flight from LIS-DXB. And she said all the SN flights were "cancelled". If I recall there were 2 flights outbound on the day I wanted to travel. (I just checked (on EF) and maybe SN is doing seasonal changes to their schedules and do not see it anymore.)

Question:
- Is it possible to book these codeshare flights even though EK is not part of *Alliance.
- SN and TP highest cabin is business, but EK offers first. Would I be able to get into EK F?
