Hello all, I'm a newbie here, and I have one main question about booking reward travel. But first I should lay out the objective. I'm hoping to get 4 tickets, all economy, as Saver Award's.
IAH to BCN on May 30 or 31
GVA to IAH on June 9 or 10
The issue is getting to Barcelona. Those are blacked out. But when I look at the seat maps, all of these planes are completely empty except maybe 10 seats! It looks like they are being blocked from IAH to BCN on almost every Thurs, Fri, and Sat. If I look from EWR to BCN, then Saver Award's are available, but for some reason adding the IAH leg blocks them.
I've been watching for weeks now, and there has been very limited to no changes. Will these Saver Awards ever open up? I would travel pretty much any Thurs/Fri to Sun/Mon in that general timeframe, but they are all blacked out, and only to IAH, I don't get it.
