OK. There are a lot of hickups in this merger and a lot of people getting stressed and upset etc etc. We know that. So, I'd like to relate a funny and totally unexpected event that happened to me earlier this week. And I think it is totally related to IT and apps and systems. (and this is humorous and not whining)
Last Thu I am flying this flight over lunch (the results are in the link). FA came to me and asked me "What is your name, have you ordered a vegetarian meal?" Before I could tell her that "hmmmmmm I thought I am not entitled to special meals in domestic flights any more" she said that "we have a chicken salad in the menu, I will put the chicken on the side." All fine and dandy with me.
Cool.
What the funky thing about this is that the current system picked up my circa 2005 CO meal preference and spewed it 8 years afterwards in an upgraded domestic flight (and even then, CO's meal preferences were only for overseas premium cabin)
Just letting you all know that buggers might surface these days.
