I'm flying from YYZ to PVG via EWR in a couple of weeks and I have a few questions about transiting through the USA:
1) Can I use nexus outbound when I pre-clear in YYZ even though my endpoint is China and not the USA. Returning can I use global entry coming back into the US and then Nexus returning into Canada... do I even clear US customs on the way back (EWR-YYZ leg is operated by AC)?
2) Will I be able to check my bag the whole way or will I need to pick it up and recheck in EWR? Trying to figure out where my best bet to buy duty free is (liquid) in PVG or EWR?
3) Do I need to switch terminals in EWR if so is there a way to do this without having to exit airside and go through security again?
4) Is there any way to check if the 777 is a refurbished cabin or have they all been refurbished at this point?
