~18 hours ago I booked a United special out of ORD for Friday night thru Mon. My concern is that with this winter storm forecasted, this weekend getaway might turn into a weekend nightmare. As a result, I have a few questions about what is allowed for this ticket.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the weekly specials are not SDCable. However, there is a travel waiver posted for ORD on Friday so does that change what I'm allowed to do?
Furthermore, I plan on cancelling the reservation and rebooking the same itinerary to give myself another 24 hours to cancel. I'm not sure whether to book the new reservation and then cancel the old one or to cancel the old one and then rebook. I'd rather not take the chance that it goes away in the time I cancel and then book, but does booking two itineraries cause problems within SHARES? Last thing I want is SHARES to explode on me during a storm.
