Use United Travel Certificates and Credit Card?

Hi,

I am curious if there is any way to redeem United travel certificates and then still put the entire ticket price onto my credit card? So, my situation is that I have some travel certificates from personal travel that will expire soon. But, I am traveling for work so much that I have no need to purchase my own ticket. So, essentially, I would like to put the entire value of the ticket onto my credit card while redeeming the travel certificate and effectively be reimbursed for the credit card charge - creating cash for me. Is this somehow possible? Sorry if this is a really stupid question. Just searched around but couldn't find anything addressing this issue.
