United.com club major system error

So I enrolled in the United.com club, where you get $5 on every ticket you purchase on their website.

Well... Another thing that's not working properly (but what is in their IT department nowadays anyway?).

So, I purchased a bunch of tickets for my wife and I. We flew quite enough to say that when we are placed on the upgrade list upon checkin, the usual PNR splitting occurs which results in crediting only my own flight and getting $5 instead of the $10.

Resolution: I have to send a lengthy email with explanation, confirmation numbers, dates ...etc and explain my situation EVERY SINGLE TIME I FLY just to get that extra $5 I should get automatically.

Customer service simply tells me every time that they forwarded this to their IT department, but this is really annoying to have to write and prove things every time we fly.
