Hi, My name is Trina, I am 44 yrs old and new to the forum, and new to miles and points..My husband works overseas ( live in US ) 28 days there and 28 days home.. He is a mileageplus platinum member.. He only belongs to this program, and has never tried to earn miles, he would rather go fishing then get on a computer.lol
I flew for the first time last year (one of my biggest fears ), He and I went to Jamaica, It was great..So now i am hooked, and want to start earning miles and points for him.
This is my question., We are going to mexico in a few months, he has enough miles for both tickets, but only leaving a few left.. Since I don't know anything about this at all, Can someone help me out....Should we purchase tickets so he keeps his status?
Should i apply for the chase card and purchase tickets and put on there to earn the bonus miles? My brain is all over the place after reading so many different forums and blogs.
