(With expert mode enabled on united.com), why is it that you can see available fare classes (e.g. really cheap ones like G, L, K) with availability but can only book in, say, M? (Searching using advanced mode with specified fare class turns up no results.) In this case I'm looking at same day booking.
Or, consider booking a flight from IAH-BDL. Going through EWR, the ticket was available for ~$100 in a cheap fare class. But if you just look at booking IAH-EWR, the only fare class that is searchable is M, so the price jumps to $500, even though the buckets again show the cheap fare available.
Obviously United has deals on certain routes and raises prices as the flight date approaches, but why is expert mode showing fare class availability that isn't really there?
