I got a message on my home phone yesterday from someone claiming to be a mechanic at UAL and that they found a piece of identification that they think is mine. The phone number on my caller ID is a 415 area code, so SF Bay Area. Weird thing when I dial the number I get an automated message my call has been forwarded and it not the name of the guy who called. I left a message and some other guy just calls me from a 908 area code (NJ) and says he is it the one that called me. I googled the name and there was someone by that name who was a mechanic at UA in SFO but can't find any info on him in the last 13 years
Isn't there a protocol if an ID is found on a plane as to where it goes, etc?
Sorry that I'm suspicious, it just seems odd.
