Waitlist question - 1K line didn't seem sure

Question for the experts here. My wife and I are going on our honeymoon in about a week and a half, and we're flying on award tickets HNL-IAD-FCO, VCE-FRA-SFO-HNL. In I and O class the entire way, except we're waitlisted in X for I class on the final leg - a small 738 from SFO-HNL (UA1679).

If no I class space becomes available, me being 1k and her being a plat on the same reservation, do we still qualify for CPU?

Thanks for your help - I couldn't find an answer here, and the 1k line didn't seem the be sure.
