UAL booking issues

I am trying to put together a family trip for four in July or August 2014. My wife and I have just reached the 260k miles required for four coach seat. What would you recommend to maximize ual miles for a trip to MNL and KOA from PHL? I was originally thinking PHL-HNL stopover HNL-MNL then MNL-PHL and just paying for an inter-island flight from HNL to KOA as I am getting errors trying PHL-KOA stopover KOA-MNL then MNL-PHL on united.com. I guess I could piece it together segment by segment then book on the phone (thanks TravelerMSY).

I am new to the miles game - any other idea how get this reward?

PHL->KOA
KOA->MNL
MNL->PHL

or

PHL->MNL
MNL->KOA
KOA->PHL

I recently read about searching through ANA but haven't had time to delve in to it yet - what do you think?
