Redeeming miles, better to call?

Hi there, I was wondering, I am trying to book award travel (economy class) r/t from hnl to europe and back with one free stopover in dc before going to europe. when I try to book the round trip on the united web site I am unable to find economy seats on one leg, it just doesn't show up on the search.

however, when I check each individual leg I am able to find economy flights on all legs. :confused:

If I call united (and probably pay the fee), will they/do they have more economy flights and seats available versus the web site?

I was just wondering if I would have more options if I call versus just using the ual web site to book my award travel.
