I've got a sponsored RPU for a transcon flight 10 days away.
Up until recently, I would see a confirmed Y segment and a waitlisted F segment online. Today, I checked, and the confirmed Y segment disappeared, leaving only a waitlisted F segment.
In the past, this would mean that the upgrade actually cleared, but the reservation needs to be synchronized. A call would fix it.
I've called twice, and the agents both report seeing BOTH the waitlisted F segment (that I also see) and the confirmed Y segment (that I do not see). They report that I have not cleared.
What else explains why the Y segment disappeared? Is this the new way that united.com shows waitlisted segments? My worry is that I've been passed over somehow without being cleared.
