I am not sure if i posted this in the right fourm so excesue me I am wrong...
I am traveling for business last minute from Houston, TX to Grand Rapids, MI.. Flight direct or even with stops are currently $1000+.. In the past I have had to take the US AIR from Houston > Charlotte > Detroit and drive 2.5hrs; cheapest tickets at about 675$ round trip.
Just being curious I started checking other airports at majors cities around Houston.. I found a flight on UNITED, Austin > Houston > Grand Rapids, for $400 round trip.. the funny thing is it is the exact flight that I originally looked at flying direct from Houston to Grand Rapids that was going for $1000+. This looks much more favorable, even though I still have to drive the 2.5hrs but this time in Texas.
Then I got to thinking.. Could I just use the ticket from Houston to Grand Rapids and skip the rest? ..or at the very get a rental car from Houston to Austin and then skipping the last leg on the way back. Is this possible or even ethical? I am just trying to reduce travel time.. already rocking 6-8 hours. Let me know what you think
