Hello team,
I feel silly taking up a thread on this, but I'm pretty sure one of you can quickly answer this question for me. I've booked the following itinerary...LGA-DCA-ORD with US Air. The second leg is operated by United. Home is ORD and I'm UA Gold, so normally I consolidate my travel with UA. My secondary airline is AA. Is it still possible for me to get any UA miles for the first leg? I'm assuming that since the AA-US merger, US is no longer part of Star Alliance. I'm planning on just get US miles for the first one and UA for the second one with the plan to eventually be able to merge my UA and AA accounts. Does this sound about right? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks!
