Sched change causes misconnect. No other options within fare class:

I am flying TLV-EWR-LAX in Z. Sched change is causing an illegal connection, and there are no options in Z to get me home the same day. Does UA still have ability to open inventory on other flights?

There is Z on LX via ZRH. And while the flights would certainly be nicer, I really want the UA miles for 2MM status.
