awhile back I booked an 8 segment trip, with all the legs in L fare bucket.
via schedule changes, legs 7 and 8 were rebooked into full Y and now JN
legs 1-4 remain in L, legs 5-6 are L->R via RPU
i would like to make a change to the date of segments 7-8 which are the ones in JN/Y
when i initiate this change on .bomb, it is asking for a $150 change fee and $0 add collect, however it is acting like it will rebook me in G. i know i am not technically entitled to Y, but i would like to be in L for the additional CPU chances.
my conundrum is that if i call an agent i am pretty sure they will call the fare desk for the L fare, and i will be charged to refare the entire ticket (all 8 segments). or i will get lucky the other way and they will just put it back in Y/JN. not sure that is worth the risk. i guess i could call and ask them what the change would be, not asking for specific fare classes, and see what they come back with (my guess would be the same as what .bomb is telling me).
incidentally the lowest available fare in the market right now for these city pairs is L.
