I am proposing to my gf soon, and am surprising her with a trip to do so. I've had everything booked for awhile, but it dawned on me today that UA has a habit of sending me emails like "purchase E+ for your upcoming trip to XXX" or "Get a hotel in XXX with your miles" a week or so before flights. I entered my gf's MP # when I booked the trip.
Will UA send her any emails using her MP # because she's on the PNR, or do these only go to the person who reserved the trip? Should I be safe and remove her MP #, then add it back at the kiosk or have the GA do it when we go on the trip? I would really hate for an overzealous marketing email to ruin a carefully orchestrated surprise.
