Nosy Premier desk agents who always question my travel plan

I called in to change a ticket that's had a schedule change. It was an one way ticket.

After I explained why I'm calling, the agent asked "Where's the return portion on this?"

I said " Oh I'll book that later."

She insisted "But this ticket was booked almost 2 month ago?"
(what she meant was... you haven't book return portion even though it's been 2 month?!?!)

I was like....speechless...."I'll buy a ticket at the airport when I come back..."

She clearly disapproves.

Another instance, I had IAD-> SFO->MRY->SFO->IAD

the SFO<>MRY was added later on, it was a brief 1 hour stop-by, when I went to get my SFO->IAD BP, the agent frowned and was like: "What are you doing coming back to SFO? Are you doing this for miles?"

I was speechless again. Seriously, I already flied that portion, it's none of ur biz.

The worst was on an actual MR, I called in to adjust a schedule change, the premier desk agent literally said "What's this .... you are doing? Travelling across the country only to come back right after?" Yes she said the S word and I hang up.

Granted, these are 3 outstanding agents I encountered among hundreds that I deal with each year on United, but the level of nosiness is overwhelming. Any similar experience?
