You should, under no circumstances, ever talk to anyone in India in dealing with UA customer service. I'm a US Airways elite, not United so typically get routed to India. It is always a complete cluster**** and they are clueless and unable to help. Today I had a fairly standard issue, the Indian agent was useless and refused to help at all. Asked to be transferred to a US agent, problem got resolved in 5 seconds. I don't understand why United wants to proceed with such alienating customer service (I spend $5k+ a year on United, though it is credited to US).
