Currently have LH award on UA ticket using UA miles. Times aren't that optimal, but it looks like I may be able to snag a more favorable flight day before or day of the flight.
How "dangerous" is it to change a UA-issued ticket for a partner to say another partner (would prefer LX flights in my case) or to UA itself day of or day before travel? Any danger of the original being cancelled and the replacement not being ticketed on time or something like that?
