Hi, just looking for a little help here. I had to fly home from a trip to Asia on another airline last minute due to an emergency. United issued me a credit that is kinda unusable for me (one way only). Every time I have tried to use it, it actually costs more to use it one way and book another one way ticket. Ex. 2 one way $900 tickets - $250 is still more than one $1200 RT ticket. So I dont think I will ever be able to use the credit.
What Im really wondering is if I can somehow get the miles for the unused flight credited to my account? Its looking like I will be 1200 miles short of status requirement. However this flight that I paid for but didnt use would put me over.
Any ideas??
