Hi all,
I was planning to fly to ATL tomorrow, but I received bad news when I checked the weather forecast: there's a severe thunderstorm/flood warning issued for the city and the surrounding region till this weekend.
I see some of UA's flights heading into ATL today are being delayed for quite a bit due to the weather.
I don't think it will be any different tomorrow from the weather forecast I see, and I'm kind of paranoid now about the flood warning.
I don't see an official statement on UA's website yet about flights heading into/flying out of ATL, but I was wondering if I could call UA and ask for a cancellation and refund of my ticket, as now I'd prefer not to fly to ATL anymore tomorrow due to the weather warning.
I hold a non-refundable ticket in Y, and I understand unless UA releases an official statement that they will waive change fees or issue cancellations, I normally cannot get a refund.
Nevertheless, I was thinking calling and asking will not do any harm, but I'd just like to check with the experts here.
Thanks in advance-
