Hi all.
After a spate of (IMO, unacceptable) flight delays (usually mechanical and operational; usually on united express carriers), I've decided I should start paying closer attention to the on-time performance of the flights I purchase. However, the link to "See On-Time Performance" on united.com almost always says "There is no recent record of delay and cancellation percentages for this flight." Probably 8/10 times.
I'm not sure what goes into calculating this data, but I do wonder why it is so seldom available. I also wonder why they bother keeping that particular research tool around, since it rarely shares any useful information. Like I said, in my experience, probably 8/10 times, there's "no flight data"...
What gives? Insight would be welcome!
