Departure times on this express flight seem like a bit of a lie

I'm on UA3874 IAD-CLE originally set to depart 10:09 p.m. Its departure has been delayed to 11:39 p.m.

The posted inbound aircraft, Republic Airlines Q400 #339, is supposed to be operating UA4886 PVD-IAD, currently scheduled to depart PVD 11:08 p.m. and arrive IAD at 12:58 a.m.

The posted inbound aircraft for THAT flight, still Republic Airlines Q400 #339, is supposed to be operating UA4886 IAD-PVD, and is still on the ground at Dulles (currently set to operate 8:52 p.m.–10:38 p.m.).

So to recap, UA is telling me:
IAD-PVD operates 9 p.m.-10:38 p.m., where it becomes…
PVD-IAD operates 11:08 p.m.-12:58 a.m., where it becomes…
IAD-CLE operates 11:39 p.m.–12:59 a.m.
