Flat bed to HNL or direct to OGG?

If miles weren't an issue, would you rather

1. travel BOS-DEN-HNL, with the DEN-HNL leg in 3-cabin first, then pick up a local flight to OGG

2. Travel BOS-SFO-OGG in first, but on old planes with no AVOD

Can't decide if the extra hassle of the local flight (and 10k miles each) is worth DEN-HNL in flat bed.

Likewise for the return from LIH (routing via SFO).
