Star Gold not showing on US Air flight

Sorry if this has been covered, couldn't find anything on a search.

I am a longtime UA *Gold flyer who due to routing has frequently flown US Air flights and always used my UA number with miles crediting back to the UA account. I have done this literally dozens of times with never a problem, always received the priority access/boarding and it has always shown *Gold on my BP.
On my last trip, 1 week ago - I noticed a Zone5 boarding and looked closely at my BP... no *Gold listed. I inquired at the never-helpful US Air customer service desk. The guy just proceeded in a condescending way to "explain" to me how FF status' worked and expiration's etc worked ---- completely ignoring the UA card and app that I was trying to show him and refused to even look at my ticket on his system. So called 1-800 for US Air as I walked to gate - they said yes my UA # was listed for the ticket, yes I was showing *Gold in their system, and they had no idea why it wasnt printing on ticket. Fortunately for me, the gate agent actually took my phone and spoke to the person and changed me on the flight (otherwise my bag was NOT going in the plane) but a ticket reprint still didnt reflect status. Also miles did credit to my UA account.

Now today, I just checked in online for another US Air flight, verifying my UA # is listed --- and boarding pass again does not reflect *Gold and has me assigned lower priority boarding. Grrrrr

anyone else experience this? Suggestions?
