So this has been very frustrating for the past couple of days
trying to book the last leg SJO-LIR on united website using miles shows availability almost every day although try to book it and errors out on the last screen.
Talking to united.com support has led nowhere ... they keep insisting that there are zero seats available on any and all dates they have tried .. yet the website shows them available
Called Sansa airlines and they said award seats are available and the lifemiles website also shows them available
Talked to united.com supervisor with no luck, since its a partner airline and they say that flight availability can vary .. this means the website is showing "phantom availability" for every date
Anyone have connections at United.com that can escalate this obvious system glitch .. If anyone can help, please post a message here since I can cancel my existing itinerary and rebook if this gets resolved in 24 hrs or if there is any hope I can wait ... trip is not until November
