Booked 2x one way F awards for my wife and I for 35k points each. It turns out Japan to Oceanic Islands (New Caledonia) is only 10k/20k/35k one way. It is only serviced 2x per week from Auckland on Air New Zealand. Our routing:
KIX - HKG (NH C) 23 hour 40 minute layover in HKG
HKG - BKK (TG F A380) 3 hour layover to enjoy "spa services"
BKK - SYD (TG F 747)
SYD - AKL (NZ C 767) 18 hour layover AKL
AKL - NOU (NZ Y 320) (economy only plane)
Taxes and fees were $55 each and they waived the phone booking fee since the website would choke when I would force this routing.
Anyone else have some amazing award ticket values they have successfully booked.
