I don't know what's going on with the scheduling "gurus" over at WHQ, but every time I look at the UA schedule another flight has disappeared. :td:
For instance, I went to book a flight from DEN to BOS on Tuesday, December 11th and found there is only one flight running that day, departing at 10:01a and arriving at 3:50p. (Keep in mind that this route has reliably had 3-4 daily flights for years.) For a business traveler, this timing is incredibly inconvenient as it burns a full day. I've been having the same experience on DEN-SJC/SFO - which is now literally impacting how I do business since the last eastbound flight on Tues/Wed leaves at 4pm, ending my work day at 2pm.
I realize that United is trying to be more efficient and save money, but this is ridiculous. Part of being a full service airline is running flights on days/times that aren't 100% full. (I thought this was also the advantage of cross-fleeting so you can get the right gauge...) There is also some pricing power as I don't really care if they charge an additional $100 for these flights - right now your revenue is going to $0 because I can't make the schedule work.
United, I hope you're listening here. You're now pushing your best customers to WN, B6 and elsewhere just because you're not providing basic service. This is broken.
