A friend of mine plans to travel from Beijing(PEK) to SFO. The outbound flights connect at HKG with PEK-HKG segment operated (no codeshare) by Dragonair while the return flight is nonstop UA889.
When I look up for baggage information on the united website, I found conflicting baggage policies.
If I enter manually the departure, destination and the first marketing carrier (i.e., dragonair), it turns out 2PC at no charge. But when I enter the confirmation and name to retreat the itinerary, it shows only 1PC free.
