I have a general question about re-ticketing an award flight.
I booked an one-way award flight on United.com for a codeshare Air Canada flight back in Sept 2012. This award flight was ticketed w/in 24 hours.
A few days ago a better itinerary popped up, so I called to change my award flight to the new itinerary. Because I have an infant in arms, the agent advised that they could not ticket the new itinerary right away.
It's been 2 days, and still nothing.
I called and got the standard, it can take up to 10-15 business days, etc.
Question---until I am ticketed, does that mean the award seat itself is up for grabs?
I am flying with family members on a separate account and they are ticketed, my group is not.
Thanks.
