Has anyone with Mileage Plus status used Chase's Ultimate Rewards tool to book a UA flight (instead of booking it directly through .bomb)? I'm currently a Premier Gold, and I also hold a Chase Sapphire Preferred. This means that if I book through Ultimate Rewards, I get an additional 1 point per dollar (for a total of 3 points per dollar) instead of the standard 2 points per dollar if booking directly through .bomb, HOWEVER, I am concerned that:
1. I might not be able to select E+ seats at booking
2. UDU might get messed up
3. The system might not give me free bags when I check-in online
etc, etc.
SHARES is notorious for messing things up, and booking through UR only increases the number of things that can go wrong. Is there anyone who's done this before and can report on his/her experiences?
