UA 1k only or UA-G and Delta-G

I fly 100,000+ a year out of Seattle (Asia, Europe, and USA). I'm wondering about the merit of having both UA G and Delta G so I have more choices of flights?

I hate to loose the UA system-wide upgrades, however. Anyone have experience with this? Or recommendations?
