Award ticket on TK

Hi Everyone!

I have been flying UA for a few years now and have finally earned enough miles for an award flight. I am looking to book an award flight between Doha, Qatar and Manchester, UK and the best option available seems to be on Turkish Airlines via Istanbul.

My question is this, if I go ahead and book this do I get a confirmed seat on both flights? For example, do I just go to the airport and check in as normal as if I had a paid for ticket?
