This past weekend, I was booking an award ticket from CAI-JFK. According to Shares/united.com, on the outbound flight, fees were $42.50 and on the return, $2.50. So I tried to book it several times and I was denied. "Unable to book this ticket, please try again later" or something like that - might have even said to call the call center
Called premier line and was told fees are $85 and they refused to honor the lower fees shown on the website. Seems to me that if they display a fee and it's incorrect, that's not my fault - they should honor it. Despite complaining, they refused.
What gives?
