Hello,
I rarely fly United out of Houston anymore as they merged with Continental which I always thought was a substandard airline with a lack of E+, high fares, lack of West Coast hubs, bad crews and service, lack of differentiation among elites, poor food in coach, and lack of F class abroad.
I flew CO once in 1998 and never flew them again until 2003. The service was not good then either. I then chose United, Delta, or American out of IAH in 2003 on. Once United merged with CO I saw the awful CO service standards that I experienced in the past take over the new United. I have been unable to fly United much unless I am sure I am on a PMUA flight. Most of my flying is on Delta, but I love American even more now.
With this in mind, when was COntinental ever considered decent? The always was a myth about Continental service and I am wondering how this myth was started and when people may have actually thought CO was a premium airline.
