I just returned from a long weekend in DUB. I was on a W fare upgraded with GPU. TPA-IAD-DUB-EWR-TPA.
The problems began with the TPA-IAD segment in F connecting in IAD to DUB. Just before boarding in TPA they announced that no F meals were catered (this was a 'dinner' flight and they offered to provide a voucher to buy something at the airport. Since this flight came in from ORD, I assume that the 'mistake' happened there. How does 'one of the world's best airlines' forget to add meals for a flight that runs daily?
On the return, right after the main course for lunch, we hit moderate turbulence and they put everything away, They never completed the service with the best part, the port/cheese and ice cream courses. It's like they could not be bothered.
Also, this is the first international CO flight (a CO 752 and crew) that I have ever been on that did not have an international concierge on board. It was appears by their actions that the cabin crew were simply domestic FAs that were handling this flight. Had I wanted to buy a ticket the day before a flight, the one way BF fare was $6700. For this?????????/
