I recently had to cancel my nonrefundable flights with United airlines. The airport parking garage entrance malfunctioned and was unavailable so there was not parking available to use. I had to cancel because I had nowhere to park my vehicle and was an hour away from home.
I got the airline to cancel my flights and issue a credit for the two tickets but when I book a flight with the credits I am still going to have to pay $300 in rebooking fees (one fore each ticket.)
I am wanting to know if there is any way to use the credited amount to book one new flight without paying the rebooking fees. There is not an option online for this and I was told I have to find the flight I want and call and provide my confirmation number from the cancelled reservation to book with the credits.
