Checked Bags (in a cardboard box)-- Question

Hi All,

I was wondering whether checked luggage can be in a cardboard/U-Haul box. As long as the dimensions don't exceed 62 linear inches and 50 lbs -- I'm a Premier Silver member--will this packaging be acceptable? Thanks a ton, and hope to hear from some of you all soon! :)
