Anyone run into this yet? Apparently, there's a glitch in the UA system that when a passenger uses miles for a ticket and PAYS for the fee using any of the UA credit cards, the computer inserts a piece of code into the passenger record which prohibits the system from automatically processing the upgrade.
Which, of course, is in direct conflict with the published upgrade policy.
Have contacted the 1K desk, and was told that there's nothing they would/could do on this matter - would have to process at the airport, but by then, all seats are upgraded. Had a UA flight from IAH/ORD where a couple of golds processed ahead of me.
Any other ideas from anyone having dealt with this? I've got several mileage flights coming up and of course, all are paid with the card.
